Domaine Jean-Marc Morey, Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru 2010

An overtly exotic yet extremely fresh nose of dried yellow orchard fruit, mango, papaya and pineapple slides seamlessly into powerful and almost painfully intense big-bodied flavors that completely stain the palate with dry extract. This could easily be top heavy yet there is excellent acid support such that the mouth feel is really very precise with an abundance of underlying tension that adds a real sense of vibrancy to the linear and explosive long finish. Despite the overt exoticism of the nose the finish is bone dry and this should live for years.
