A ripe, fresh and very pretty nose combines notes of plum, black raspberry and anise with those of violet, lavender and earth. The super-sleek, intense and more mineral-driven medium-bodied flavors also possess a really lovely texture before culminating in a youthfully austere finale that also flashes outstanding length. This is terrific and worth your interest.

The 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Fonteny is very elegant, offering up notes of cherries and cassis mingled with licorice and dark chocolate. Medium to full-bodied, ample and layered, it´s a deep, velvety wine that´s seamless and complete, with powdery tannins and lively acids.
