Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux, Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru 2009

Moderate wood sets off ripe and intensely earthy aromas of red berries and plum that precede the rich, supple and relatively accessible middle weight flavors where very firm tannins provide structure and shape to the impressively long finish. Clos de Vougeot is often quite austere in its youth and while there is a trace, there is less than usual. Note that this will require patience.
